Jackie Earle Haley plays Rorschach in Watchmen. He does a good Rorschach. He acted with his entire body, not just his obscured face (which you could still see emoting behind the mask). This picture is the friendliest recent shot of him I could find because he looks so hardcore angry or badass in all the others. To think this guy was a kid in Bad News Bears. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 2007 for his role in Little Children.

Bonus: Watchmen ’s Nite Owl II is played by Patrick Wilson, who was the photographer that gets his ass whooped in Hard Candy. Weeeeiiirrd.

i may be a bit of a sucker for men in armor, but i really was not a fan of Robert Downey Jr. no more bashing from me, for i have seen Iron Man. what the fuck, man?!

i’m glad it wasn’t made until now, when Transformers can be done without the cheese factor. the technology to get those fine details that really make a piece work well! the way the final suit connected, the little voice-command doodles in his lab, the 3-D computer modeling with his hands: it was a visual explosion of beauty, craft, and art. special bonus happy fun time for me was watching the evolution of Tony Stark’s body as the story went its course. he definitely got more ripped later in the movie.

if i were Pepper Potts i would be ALL about getting my own suit and up in Stark’s business. by business i mean pants, and by up in i mean him out of them.

the music is a little ehhh. Jeff Bridges - hair = lulz.
